Juniperfang splashed through the river to the side of a small pond. There should be herbs here. Sure enough the mesmerizing scent of catmint reached my mousy brown nose. Good for green cough. I leaned down and nipped off the stems. I left enough for the plant to stay alive and healthy. I gathered them up in my jaws, careful not to crush them.

(Try Reply at the top, not just Quick Reply. If you didn't know.)
Lakestar sat on a grassy outcropping, watching the river tumble and rush. He looked out across the water, half-expecting to see his Clan hard at work. He sighed and leapt off, landing lightly on the soft sand bank. He crossed the river, bounding across the wet stones jutting from the frothing river. The empty silence was deafening. Lakestar padded into camp, padding over to his den in the willow tree. He lay down on his bed of moss, wishing that his Clanmates would come home.

Trotting back home Juniperfang nodded her head solemnly at her leader. Once she placed the catmint gently in her store she padded out to bask in the warm leaf-bare sun. "I miss the days when we had enough prey to feed three clans. I remember when we had that many cats." She sighed and laid her tail over her nose.

"I miss the days when we had enough prey to feed three clans. I remember when we had that many cats."
Lakestar nodded sadly, glad that he had at least one Clanmate left. Padding out of his den, he dipped his head to the medicine cat. "I know. But, we must be glad that we're not starving. We have the river to feed us." Laying down on the warm earth, he sighed. The Clan just wasn't the same without his Clanmates.

Juniper nodded with tired dignity. Where had all the cats disappeared to? There used to be liners rogues and kitty pets everywhere! Where had they gone? She began to groom her sleek pelt.

Lakestar stood up, walking past his Clanmate towards the river. "I'm going fishing." he mentioned, padding to the frothing river that supplied them with food. He caught a few fish, and returned to camp. Dropping the fish on the tiny fresh-kill pile, he trotted back to his den. Then he dreams started.
He stood on the edge of the gorge- WindClan's territory, Lakestar thought. Why am I here? He looked down over the edge and saw a tiny kit trying to battle the currents of the raging river. He bounded down weightlessly and tried to get the tiny kit out of the river. As he pulled it ashore by the scruff, it turned towards him and became a starry warrior. The warrior's eyes were a light green, and everything else was a startling white. The landscape was like leaf-bare, with snow covering the ground.
Six warriors of the Clans of old , Will embark on a journey to a land so cold. One to snow will be forever gone, They return to their home with the colors of dawn.
Lakestar woke with a start. Running over the lines in his head, he padded to Juniperfang's den to see what this mysterious message could mean.

"Lakestar? You need something?" She padded up to him and sat down delicatly. She wrapped her tail around her paws and gazed up at him with patient eyes. Her fur rose as tension sparked from her leaders pelt. Juniperfang's claws slid in and out, kneading the earth and reeds anxiously.

"Ah, yes, thank you. I've... received a message from StarClan. The next Prophecy, I think." He sat calmly next to the medicine cat, his emotions churning. Tension sparked from his pelt, sending his medicine cat's fur on end.

Juniperfang sat attentively. "Well?" She tapped her tail anxiously. Her whiskers quivered. Something bad? A good omen? What! She took a deep breath. Calm down! She commanded herself.

"Six warriors of the Clans of old ,
Will embark on a journey to a land so cold.
One to snow will be forever gone,
They return to their home with the colors of dawn. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. However, I don't think anyone's going anywhere until the Clans recover." He shuffled his paws anxiously on the wet grass.

Juniper pondered for a moment. "Yes, it says 'the clans of old: River, Thunder, Wind, Shadow and Sky..." She screwed up her eyes. "Six....there will be two of one clan...they must travel north...one will die, evening it out to five once more...colors of dawn?"

"Yes, two from one Clan. Colors of dawn... Morning? And where would the land so cold be, other than north? A cryptic prophecy, as usual." He tried to reason out the prophecy. "I will mention it at the next Gathering... If there is one. It should be in six days."

Juniperfang nodded. "Six days, six cats. What's with the six!" She lashed her tail and turned back to her herbs. Their pungent scent would calm her down. She was very stressed this leaf-bare. Her usually smooth abd well-groomed pelt was fluffed up and stuck out at all different angles.

Lakestar shuffled his paws uncomfortably. He knew the Clans were in no position to send anyone on some quest. The Gathering hadn't even happened. The Clans were doomed unless they learned to work together.
(Sorry that I haven't posted!)
